When Death and Joy are Mixed Together
Tuesday, June 24th, 2008 : By Dan Miller
On Friday (June 20), Dennis Rainey of Family Life sent the following email to some of his friends regarding the death of his newly-born granddaughter, Molly. The e-mails have now been made public since they hold a wonderful testament to God’s grace in the lives of the extended family. Dennis recounts his emotions and surrounding circumstances of the last precious moments spent with family and Molly before she passed to be with Jesus.
About The Author
I have been married to an amazing wife, Vicki, since 1992 and together we enjoy pouring into our six kids the greatness of our God. My favorite food is Italian. I enjoy playing 80’s metal riffs on my guitar. I love all the major sports (except soccer, but that’s not really a sport anyhow). My favorite sporting event is the Final Four tournament in March/April. I think the best season of the year is the Fall. I would love to be hiking and camping on some trail right now.

Hey Dan!
Thanks for posting the note / email that Dennis shared about his family’s struggles these past weeks. I know that God has been using it in a mighty way to bring attention to His grace, His sovereignty and His love. My role here at FamilyLife gets me out into the northern ‘burbs or Atlanta. if there’s anything I can do to help resource you and Vicki (& kids), the staff and your ministry there at GF and the Cummings area please let me know, OK?
Serving you with Help for Today and Hope for Tomorrow,
