Adoration in a Green Church – Part III, The Gospel and Conflict
Sunday, May 9th, 2010 : By Dan Miller
What happens in a “green church” when conflict arises between its members? Are there warning signs we should be sensitive to? Is there a process we can follow when people simply don’t “get-along?” What makes us so confident that this particular “process” is from God?
Since we can’t avoid the reality of conflict among people in our church and since conflict between people will sap the strength of any healthy church, we need to have a God-centered plan to be instituted at a moment’s notice when people don’t see “eye-to-eye.” We are not talking about a plan that is built on power-plays or high-pressure tactics, but on the Gospel itself. Today this is …

Community: Our Spiritual Habitat, Part IV
Sunday, March 28th, 2010 : By Dan Miller
The “Green Church” is a healthy church. The health of a church is not dictated by where it is located, the style of the service it has, the programs it offers, or the types of people that attend. A church that is green will have characteristics that relate to the character and priorities of Jesus Christ. What are these characteristics? Each characteristic or footprint finds itself rooted in the desire of Jesus to have a church that represents Him on this earth. It is our hope and prayer that during this series our Church will be refreshed and strengthened in our desire to be green in order to spread the fame of God. MP3 download.

Community: Our Spiritual Habitat, Part II
Sunday, March 14th, 2010 : By Dan Miller
In Part 2, we will consider the most difficult aspect of building and maintaining community, church discipline. If we are to develop true community it must be on the basis of what Jesus has told us to do. Community never reaches its intended potential if we simply envision some vague sense of “togetherness.” In this teaching session we will consider how our commitment to each other will be tested when someone becomes spiritually unhealthy. What we do to help a person who has become spiritually unhealthy is the greatest mark of our dedication to true community. MP3 download.

What Makes a Healthy Church
Wednesday, January 7th, 2009 : By Eric Farr
We had a recent graceTALK question…
I recently visited another church with a friend who wanted to start going to church again. They (husband and wife) wanted a church that was big so that they could “ease” into the whole church thing. So, I went along to encourage them. We went to a “mega” church in the area and I was blown away. It was like a rock concert! The message was good (in a creative sense) but seemed very shallow. I didn’t even need to use my Bible. So, now I am in a pickle. I want my friend to go to church, but I fear that they will see Christianity is a warped way by going to this …
