“Go Green” – Taking Responsibility for Your Own Spiritual Development

People “Go Green” when they take personal responsibility to:
A. Actively listening and applying God’s Word to your life.
B. Commit to being personally accountable to someone for their spiritual development.
C. Have an active ministry among those in our Fellowship.
D. Express accountability in church membership.
E. Regularly communicate the Gospel to yourself and to others in our Fellowship.
In speaking to these responsibilities, I mentioned certain ideas on how to begin to implement them.
In reference to point “A” I commended to you the Word …

Judgment Day Follow-Up
Sunday, July 12th, 2009 : By Eric Farr
In a previous post, I dealt with a question about the final judgment. One aspect of the question had to do with why there is a judgment if it is a simple matter of unbelievers being condemned and believers being pardoned and entering paradise with the Lord.
In that post, I covered some background on the final judgment. Now I would like to expand on the question of why believers stand in judgment if Christ has already been judged in our place. This is something that was cloudy for me before I examined it more closely and now brings a lot of things together. Much of this comes from the message What Happens When You Die? All Appear Before …

It was an impressive film; we really enjoyed it on a number of levels—the production values were exceptional, Heath Ledger’s performance was amazing, and the characterizations and plot offered plenty of food for thought. (BTW, is Batman really Bruce Wayne, or is Bruce Wayne really Batman?)
But to tell you the truth, by Sunday morning I had pretty much moved on.
Then, this morning, I read this commentary by Ray Ortlund:
Visually stimulating. Technologically impressive.

Audio Books for Under $10 (the Bible too!)
Friday, June 13th, 2008 : By Hugh Williams
ChristianAudio.com is having a $9.49 sale on lots of downloadable books from June 13-22.
One notable inclusion in that list is the The Listener’s Bible NIV, narrated by Max McLean. If you don’t have a Bible you can listen to, here’s a great chance to pick one up at almost 90% off. This is no cheesy production — I have McLean’s ESV reading and it’s fantastic. I highly recommend McLean’s work.

Belong: When God’s Passion and Your Purpose Collide, Part 1
Sunday, March 2nd, 2008 : By Dan Miller
In this two week series we will give a revealing look at our role in God’s Kingdom. Wow, just think about the contrast in those two ideas: “our role” and “God’s Kingdom.” How do you boil down a subject this huge into a container so limited? Well, over the next two weeks we will show you how we as a Church fit into the framework of God’s Kingdom. Then, during week 2, we will see how you as a person are made to extend the Kingdom of God in the sphere of influence in which you live. It is our hope and prayer that after these two messages you will better understand the purpose of Grace Fellowship as well as …
