Grace Talk, May 2023
Chuck Orr   -

We value asking questions to better understand how to live life in a God-centered, Christ-exalting way. We believe that church should be the best place in which people can get solid answers to life’s questions from God’s Word.

  1. I recently reconnected with a high school friend and found out he is seeking to transition himself into a woman. When I asked what he’s planning to do after college he said “I’m not too worried about that at the moment…I’m trying to focus on mental health and gender stuff.” How should I respond to that? While I don’t want to shut him out given he’s clearly struggling, I also don’t want to affirm what he’s doing. What’s the most helpful way to deal with this from a Christian perspective? (1:28)

  1. Some people say the prohibition against women speaking in church in I Timothy 2:11-12 and I Corinthians 14:34-35 means women cannot ever teach at church, including other women in things like women’s Bible studies or D-Groups. This seems to contradict passages like Titus 2:3-5 where women are instructed to teach the younger women of the church. What is the position of GF on this? Thank you, gentleman! I am deeply appreciative of your incredibly difficult work to build up, edify and lead the flock well, pointing them ever to Christ. I praise our savior for the gift that He has given to His bride in each one of you leading well so that we might be conformed more and more into the image and likeness of Christ. (20:45)

  1. What are the Regulative Principles of Worship? Does Grace Fellowship adhere to these principles? How does Grace Talk fit into the means by which we are called to worship God? (37:49)
