Following Jesus can be hard when the world stands in bold opposition to His word and ways. It often feels like the Christian is living on the edge of two different worlds…and they are! Join us as we see what God’s word says about living in the world while not being of the world.
This living on the edge can be dangerous and difficult as we struggle to live lives that honor God and not succumb to the fleeting pleasures that the world is selling us and that so many of our friends and acquaintances are giving into.
It is important to have certain truths in place as we live our lives on this edge. Over the weekend we will explore these questions:
- Who are you? Where do you get your identity from?
- Who is in control of this entire show? Are we living random lives where chance is at play?
- How to be content and satisfied with the hand that God has dealt us — no matter what that hand may be.
With the answers to these questions in place, a young person will be much more equipped to live their life on this edge without going over it!
This year we have extended the retreat to last until 5:00 pm on Sunday to give us enough time to have an open mic session, another free time, and one more meal together!
Invite Your Friends
This will be a great opportunity to invite your friends. The more friends the better. In fact, teams this year will be rewarded points for first-time attendees and, for the first time ever, we will have a prize for the winning team!
