Jesus: The True and Better David
(2 Sam 7:4-17; Ps 23; Rev 19:11-16; 1 Sam 8:7; 1 Chr 29:11-12; Jn 10:7-15)
The OT is replete with hints and types of Jesus. It can be said that the whole of the OT bears witness to and culminates in Jesus. And one of the most famous persons in the OT, King David, can be seen as a multi-faceted type of Christ in his role as shepherd, as warrior, and as King. What an amazing and glorious God we worship!
